Ladakh, Jul 31 (KNO): One Ride One Nation (ORON) has successfully completed its ‘Mission Tricolour’ by unfurling a 390-feet-long Indian National Flag at Umling La in Ladakh, in a tribute to the brave martyrs of the Kargil War. According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the expedition was originally scheduled for July 26 to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas but was postponed due to adverse weather conditions and concerns over rider safety. The team later resumed its ascent after weather conditions improved and successfully accomplished the mission. Led by ORON founder Nitish Pal, the expedition was joined by Ayush Sharma, Gopal Balgotra, Mohit Sharma, Suchit Moza, Ehsaas Maltonia, Vasu Bral, Ashish Uppal, Prashant Kumar, Mastanbhee Sheikh, Deepank Rawat and SN Reddy. The riders carried the giant Tricolour through extreme altitude, freezing temperatures, unpredictable weather and challenging terrain, dedicating the mission to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Kargil War. Ayush Sharma told KNO that the mission was aimed at paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. “Reaching Umling La with the Tricolour was an unforgettable and emotional moment for all of us. This was not just a motorcycle ride; it was our tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. Carrying the Tricolour at such an altitude made us realise even more deeply the value of their sacrifice,” Sharma said. Nitish Pal, founder of One Ride One Nation, said the expedition was driven by respect for the martyrs rather than the pursuit of a record. “Mission Tricolour was never just about creating a world record; it was about creating a lasting tribute to our brave soldiers. The weather delayed us, but it could never stop our resolve. Every kilometre we rode and every challenge we overcame was dedicated to the immortal heroes of Kargil,” Pal said. The successful completion of Mission Tricolour stands as a symbol of courage, resilience and national unity, with the 390-feet Tricolour unfurled at Umling La serving as a tribute to the Kargil War martyrs and all members of the Indian Armed Forces—(KNO)
